My First Day as a Fitness Blogger

I guess I already have to take that first exam again. For some reason, I only remembered I'm supposed to take pictures of everything I eat in a day after my breakfast was already gone...and all that was left was the peanut butter that I couldn't get out of my oatmeal bowl (I tried, though. Hard. Like...pb stains everywhere kind of hard...).

If you're interested in what I had for breakfast, though, go over here

I had almost that exact oatmeal bowl, just that I replaced the peaches with 1/2 banana.

I did remember the shooting for my lunch box, though

I'll admit I wasn't that creative (at 6AM this morning!). My squaw bread sandwich consisted of...squaw bread and a slice of cheese. I know. It tasted exactly like it sounded. I did, however, at least pack red bell pepper and cucumber slices which I then put on the sandwich and voilá SO much fancier :D

My midmorning snack was a peach, a handful of blueberries and hazelnuts.
I ate it at 9:30 cause everyone always says you're not supposed to have more than 3 hours between two meals. I have that problem, though, where - no matter when I ate the last time - my stomach is always growling at 10 AM.

I guess that means I'll have to pack two midmorning snacks tomorrow...

I was super hungry when I came home from work at 1PM, but I told myself I could wait until at least 1:30 PM to have another snack.
Then I saw this:

Also known as my mom's homemade applesauce. Also known as to die for. I tried to get a teaspoon of it beforehand, but a)it was so hot it burned my tongue and b) my mom immediately yelled at me to leave something for everyone else

It has happened, I might add, that I eat the entire bowl myself.
What did happen today was this, though:

In my concious effort to eat a larger variety of food, I created this perfect snack. It's low fat yogurt with a tablespoon of stevia to make it sweeter. On top goes applesauce, granola (the healthy, unsweetened kind, even!) and a nice big scoop of peanut butter. Before you choke, try it. Really.

And because of my 15 Mile run yesterday, I was planning on resting today. But then my mom told me she was going to go "speed walking" at that lake near our apartment. And I definitely couldn't let her go alone, could I? I didn't run, though.  I "speedwalked" with her. It's something she does (and I usually don't) where she just tries to walk as fast as she can. I swear, a million people looked at us weird. I can't blame them. We basically just throw our arms and legs in the air to be as fast as possible.

I did beat her, though. I'm  just saying...I may have looked like a  maniac, but...I won...

So, that's it for today. Dinner is probably going to be something pasta-related. Considering we have like...bowls of it in the fridge and I'm the only one in the family who eats pasta when it's labeled "whole grain".

Who I Am

Welcome to my blog!
this is me, from now on until...a very long time from now
sharing my running journey and fitness ups and downs!
I'm going to be a University student come September/fall, but as of right now, I am eighteen and trying to become the best runner I can be.
This blog is supposed to inspire others (and myself, too, actually) to run a LOT, to have more fun than ever doing it and to share the weird combinations of food that I stuff my face with

Also, I love all things pink and cannot ever look good on pictures. Not that I tried in this one. I mean...what's with the hair???
